ABOUT US

Peter Morrison is currently the practice manager and lead Physio at Belfast Sports and Spinal. He is both Chartered and State Registered with the Health Care Professional Council.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 2002. Peter moved into private practice working in a physiotherapy and sports injuries clinic in Cork. He remained in Cork for a year, treating various conditions and injuries resulting from sports, trauma, repetitive strain, as well as common back and neck problems.

after returning from cork

After returning from Cork he worked in “The Clinic” physiotherapy practice in Belfast for 6 years gaining further experience. During this period he was also head team Physiotherapist for the County Antrim Senior hurlers and County Down Senior hurlers and also provided physiotherapy services to Shorts Bombardier.

in april 2009

In April 2009, Peter decided to make the jump to establish and open his own clinic, Belfast Sports and Spinal, where he now practices full time. Over the next few years Peter was able to expand the clinic to bring on 2 further Physiotherapists and in July 2016 Belfast Sports and Spinal underwent a major upgrade moving to significantly larger premises on the Ormeau Road. The practice now has 4 Physio’s and a Podiatrist with admin staff to hold it all together and run smoothly. Niall Kelly, Ally McKeown, Emma Magorrian, Rory McFadden and June Finlay are all integral members of the team and practice with the same attention to detail that Peter has worked with since 2002.

I cannot recommend Belfast Sports and Spinal highly enough! The treatment I received when I fractured my shoulder was first class. Peter Morrison is a highly talented physio, well versed in the science and applying the most up to date treatments – not only did he get my shoulder functioning again, he even improved my golf swing!

Adrian Caldwell

I was referred to Peter Morrison at Belfast Sports and Spinal following a recurring calf injury. As an endurance race competitor I needed to be confident that the cause of the injury was identified and dealt with sufficiently to prevent further breakdowns. The treatment and flexibility of the service I received was first class. I have now made a full recovery and my understanding of preventing further injuries is greater thanks to the rehabilitation programme that was specifically designed for me. I would highly recommend Belfast Sports and Spinal for anyone not just those suffering from sports injuries.
